Manhood Riding Club Horse of the Year

In 2021, we introduced a section to the Christmas show in Memory of Nick Linfield for a member’s pony/horse that has done something special.

Anyone can nominate anyone's horse as long as they check the person is happy to be nominated and can attend the Christmas show. The nominee must also be a club member and have attended club events in their lifetime. The reason for nomination can really be anything from being a successful show animal, giving family/member a lifetime of service, surviving an illness, helping a member through their own illness or helping a member achieve something special. To nominate, email Heather Linfield at heatherlinfield@gmail.com with the members name, the pony/horses name and then a couple of paragraphs about the horse and the reason for nomination. The closing date for this is September 30th. After that date, the nominations will be printed off, reviewed and a decision made by Heather's sister-in-law who sponsors the rosette and garland in Nick's racing colors of red & blue.
